First time walking the pier despite living 20 minutes away! 1.50 charge to walk there and back - a beautiful day and a lovely walk out into the sea - I think the price rises in the summer to 2.00. Worth the cost to be honest it was a sunny day and so peaceful. There is a big cafe at the end of the pier with plenty of seating.

We had a great time here, we got the train out, had fish & chips, had coffee and walked back... a great way to spend a few hours, the lifeboat station on the end is also great, and the young couple that run it, are a blast. Much appreciated for looking after us.

Took the pier train out and walked back — a great way to enjoy the world’s longest pleasure pier at Southend-on-Sea! The train ride was short but very relaxing, with lovely views of the sea on both sides — almost felt like floating above the water. It’s a nice option if you don’t want to walk both ways. On the way back, we walked the full length of the pier and really took our time enjoying the breeze and views. Perfect for a relaxed day out.

World's longest Pier, 1.3 miles. It was so beautiful walking in the pier overlooking the sea. The ticket was only 1.50 walk both ways. Couldn't reach till the end of it but it was worth it. I can bet the end of the pier would be amazing. There are resting areas too midway for you to relax and enjoy the beauty of the sea.

Beautiful views and a relaxing place to unwind. The pier is really long, so taking the train one way is a good idea if you don’t feel like walking both ways. A bit pricey for what it is, but still a unique experience.

The longest pier in the world. Currently running trips across to ports on the Kent side of the Thames estuary. We had breakfast in The Last Post, a brisk walk to the pier entrance. Then, hopped on the pier train to the end of the structure. Leisurely pint outside the cafe in the glorious sunshine before boarding the boat for the hour-long journey to Queenborough port for an explore and lunch. A scorcher of a day. Make sure you book the ferry crossing early

Lovely old and very long pier, 1.3 miles in fact .Not free entry. Price depends on wether you walk or take the train or combination of both. Its not expensive though.Cafe/bar at the end. It's certainly in better condition then when I was last on it nearly 40 years ago. Enjoy...

Southend Pier, the world’s longest pleasure pier, offers stunning sea views and a nostalgic charm. A leisurely train ride or scenic walk leads to a small cafe at the end. While some areas feel weathered, it’s a must-visit for seaside lovers. Great for a day out!
